vacation homes
i've decided that i want our wedding to be at a vacation home in the mountains. i want somewhere big enough for my mom and sisters to stay there with us, and maybe jody and josh and the boys, but i don't want it to be too formal. i also don't want it to be too lodgey or cabiny- i don't want it to be too casual. some of the houses i've looked at are absolutely gorgeous, huge sprawling mountain estates that sleep 20 people and have a pool and a lake and 10 bedrooms and bathrooms and huge gourmet kitchens. but they still seem just a bit too formal. i have also seen some that were described as "cottages", which is much closer to what i'm picturing asthetically, but too small. if i get married in something that just looks like a house then i might as well just get married in someone's backyard, and i definitely do not want to do that. i think i'm going to put an add on craigslist.
