ten on tuesday (except it's from a few weeks ago, and i don't know how it started, and it's not tuesday)

1. Do you do laundry all at the same time or a load here and there?
i would LIKE to do a load here and there, every time the smallest basket gets full, so it wouldn't take the whole day. instead, i wait and wait until i have nothing to wear at all, and then i spend the whole day folding.

2. What kind of detergent do you use?
well, lately it's been tide, because roommates bought it. if i buy it, i like gain or something. definitely liquid though, no powder. i feel like i can feel the powder on my clothes.

3. Do you use fabric softener?
no, i read that it reduces the absorbancy of your towels.

4. Do you use dryer sheets?
sometimes, if i'm washing things that i know tend to be really staticky (like sheets or blankets or towels or sweaters).

5. Do you iron your own clothes or take them to a cleaner to get pressed?
i don't own anything that needs to be ironed, so i don't own an iron. someday i will have one, and then i will do it myself.

6. Do you like heavy starch or light starch?
no starch. unnecessary.

7. Do you wash all your laundry at once or separate it?
sometimes i separate out the towels. otherwise, it all goes in giant armfuls into the washer together. everything is basically the same color, and so old that it's all been washed about 1357968 times, so if it were going to bleed it did already.

8. How do you separate it? By people or by colors?
i don't.

9. What clothes get hung up and what goes in drawers?
our current dresser is rather inadequate, so only tanks and underwear are in drawers. some pants, if they fit. the rest is hanging or on the shelf in the closet. when we move i'd like to either find a nice big dresser or two, or have a nice organized walk-in closet. or both.

10. Do you use plastic, wire, or wooden hangers? Do they all match?
in high school, i found these fantastic hangers that were perfect for everything and looked really cool, but then bed bath and beyond stopped carrying them, and my wardrobe outgrew my limited supply. so now, i use plain white plastic hangers from walmart, and YES, they definitely all match. i picked these so that when i need to buy more i know that no matter where i am, i can find the exact same kind.
