genre: fictionrecap: childhood best friends stop speaking in high school because the pretty one ditches the fat one. the fat one stays in her parents' house, now lives there alone because her brother is in a home and her parents are dead. works from home, no boyfriend, never leaves the house. the pretty one is a local celebrity, lives in the city, is a newscaster or a weather girl or something, also single but i think sleeping with her producer or something. pretty one shows up on fat one's doorstep, they relive the past and live happily ever after.
review: i really enjoyed this. i always like jennifer weiner books, even when i think i won't. the road trip to cape cod really made me homesick for the east coast. i definitely need to take louie there someday. you just don't understand until you've seen it. this also made me miss nicole. i still need her in my life, but at this point it's been so long that i don't know where to begin. i know the ball is completely in my court, and as usual i'm chickening out. i need to remedy that. i can't imagine not having her in my wedding or not being in hers.
