genre: teen fictionrecap: apparently this is a combo of 3 books of a huge series, which i never knew existed. encompasses a whole freshman year and summer of alice.
review: i liked it, but once i knew it was part of a bigger series i felt like i was missing something. i might have to go back and read the rest of the series at some point. i like alice, but at the same time she's a little too do-gooder. what 14 year old really tries to fill all of her free time by helping others, especially when not prompted by parents or college applications? but i guess that's fine. i'd read it again. the ending kinda leaves you hanging- wraps up some points but leaves others wide open. probably for the rest of the series.
